COVID-19 Update

Dear Valued Patients,

On May 4th I will be reopening my dental practice.  In the interest of your safety as well as for the staff, there will be some new procedures in place.  These procedures are in direct line with recommendations from the CDC, Ohio Dental Board, and the American Dental Association.

  1. There will be a twofold enhanced health screening.  Beginning this Friday, Pam will be calling 2 to 3 days prior to your appointment time to confirm and to ask several health questions directly relating to COVID-19 virus symptoms.  On the day of your appointment there will be a short health screening including temperature and general well-being health questions.
  2. Due to social distancing the waiting room will not be utilized.  You will be entering via the waiting room and exiting from a different door.  Both doors will be clearly marked.
  3. There will be more time alloted for each appointment to allow for additional steps in infection control and to review your general health.
  4. Patient appointment times will be staggered to minimize social contact.

In addition, we would like to reassure you that we have taken every precaution possible to ensure your safety.  We pride ourselves in maintaining outstanding infection control procedures that meet or exceed those set forth by the CDC and State Dental Board guidelines.  We will continue to enhance these procedures in any way possible to ensure your well being.

I am personally reviewing every patient’s medical history.  Anyone at high risk for illness due to the COVID-19 threat may find his/her appointment deferred until the risks from the pandemic are minimized.  My decisions will be on a case-by-case basis and in direct line with those of the CDC recommendations.

We are here to serve you and welcome you back to our practice.  Please feel free to call or email us with any questions or concerns regarding the new procedures that have been added because of these unprecedented times.  We are hopeful that, in the not so distant future, we can resume our normal routine.  Thank you for your understanding and support.

Best regards,

Dr. Jim
